Tara was recommended from our corporate attorney. I feel good to share some info so what happened to me does not happen again to someone else. What myself and my family felt was a wrongful domestic violence arrest turned into a bigger nightmare. My wife and I faced some challenges in our marriage of 15 years and one night we contacted the police to keep some peace. The situation we felt was being handled as my wife and I had hoped but quickly turned another direction in my opinion with 1 out of 4 officers that arrived looking for something more and what was probably a quiet evening. Before I knew it I was being hand cuffed and escorted into the patrol car and taken to county jail. Please keep in mind neither my wife or myself have EVER had anything prior or even had to call the police for ANYTHING which should have been the first thing reviewed and discussed. Once I was placed under arrest I was in shock and didn't have a clue on what to do once I was in jail. Because I called my wife as I did not have many family members I was then charged with violating a protective order. I will also say my family is still together and stronger than ever because we all did not feel what happened with the police warranted anyone going to jail. We thought we would call them out to keep the peace. Long story short was I ended up several days in jail and would have ended up in longer until I connected with Tara. I knew when I visited with her she was solid especially if my corporate attorney recommended her because I feel he is the best at what he does and Tara is the best at what she does. Humble and thankful for her solid team. Sindra and Suzanne were extra helpful and played a solid part with this organization. Another word of advice put a plan together in case you ever were to get arrested, know and discuss with friends and family who you go to. I enlisted Wally to defend my nephew on a DUI and drug possession charge. The facts were stacked against my nephew but since he is young and these charges could severely impact his future, I knew we had to fight it. Upon meeting Wally and his team, they very clearly explained their strategy and set realistic expectations. I have dealt with many attorneys in my professional life, in fact one of my business attorneys was the person who highly recommended Wally. I very much appreciated how matter of fact and to the point Wally was; it became apparent to me that his best assets were his extensive experience with the UT court system, keen legal acumen and strong litigation/negotiation skills. I became entangled in a Patriot Act related violation while traveling through an airport. It eventually resulted in a grand jury letter two years later. I faced felony charges from the federal court in Austin, Texas. It included a penalty of 5 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. No matter what I tried to do to resolve the situation it only got worse with each new event with the differing federal government agencies. We thought we were going to lose our home and I would be in prison for at least 2-3 years minimum. Searching for legal counsel was seemingly impossible adding to my family stress levels. I needed someone we could trust and believe my side of the events and walk us through the process - returning calls in a timely manner. My wife and I made at least 4 dozen phone interviews with differing attorneys in Utah and Texas trying to find help - about 45 calls on a checklist we had. More so difficult in our search, we needed a licensed federal attorney to represent us. We eventually found Tara's firm along the way and received a referral from a counselor at Kirton/McConkie who represent large clients in the Salt Lake area on a national scale. John Wayne said: "Life is hard, it's even harder when you're stupid." - That's what was happening to me - no matter what I did to resolve the matter, it made things worse. Not until we hired Tara did things get turned around. She was direct and quick with putting me back on track - she asked me what the exact facts were. She also went to work communicating with the federal prosecutor in Texas. As a result, I wasn't apprehended by US Marshals, I wasn't forced to find a bondsman and putting up a hefty bail, and over the course of months, her actions on my behalf and helping me find additional legal counsel in Texas, I was eventually able to stay out of prison and continue providing for my family. She explained everything to me in the process and it became clear how much more severe my problems were than I initially understood. I also studied up on her and knew she'd taken some extreme client problems and worked them out in the courtroom and with prosecutors. The best advice is to simply stay out of trouble but sometimes trouble finds you when you've made dumb mistakes. Hire Tara and move forward as she will get you and your family through it. Please. I feel like I lost 10 years of my life which could've been avoided had I found her sooner.

In April of 2013, myself and 5 other people were unjustly charged by an overly aggressive Utah Prosecutor from the Attorney General’s Office with multiple felonies for Fraud. I was referred to Tara Isaacson by an Attorney in my area, who was unable to represent me. From the very first meeting, I felt as though Attorney Isaacson was very upfront and honest. She wanted me to understand all the possible outcomes to my case. Once she reviewed the evidence and spent a considerable amount of time talking to me, she went to work. It took 20 months before we were able to get a preliminary hearing. We had many hearings in that 20 month period. At every hearing Attorney Isaacson and her Partner Attorney Bugden were on time, prepared and ready to defend me. Every brief that was required to be filed was delivered to the Judge on time and in most cases ahead of time. Not all the defendants in the case were able to say the same. After one of the hearings, one of the other Attorneys, that represented a different defendant, said ‘We are so glad you hired Attorney Isaacson and Attorney Bugden, they make our job so much easier’. Attorney Isaacson was poised and showed great skill in the court room. The briefs were well written and to the point. Her examination of the State's witnesses were very detailed and well planned out. I was very impressed with her abilities in the court room! When you are facing Felony Charges you need a well respected and aggressive Attorney. Attorney Isaacson is both. The fee schedule was set up front and at no time was I charged more than I had been told. There was complete transparency in all matters. Attorney Isaacson answered every question I asked and I never felt like I was bothering her. The Judge finally dismissed all charges at the preliminary hearing. The genuine emotion of relief I felt from Attorney Isaacson on that day was amazing. I know she takes her job very personally and always has the best interest of her clients at heart. I will ALWAYS refer her to anyone that is in need of a defense Attorney.

I have gotten into trouble a few times in my life, twice, it involved Federal Agencies, i was incredibly scared, and it could have turned out worse, much worse than it turned out. Tara is not, in my estimation, your typical lawyer. From the moment you meet her, she just has a way of filling you with confidence.
